Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort is now eligible for Airport Luggage Transfer, the complimentary service that moves checked bags between Orlando International Airport and certain Walt Disney World Resort hotels. The reported change took effect August 18, 2026.
Caribbean Beach is the first moderate Disney resort reported as participating. The service had previously been limited to Disney's All-Star Sports, All-Star Music, All-Star Movies, Pop Century, and Art of Animation resorts.
Key details
- Caribbean Beach Resort joined the service August 18, 2026.
- The service is free for eligible guests.
- Reported participating airlines are Southwest, American, and United.
- Enrollment opens up to 30 days before travel and closes 24 hours before departure.
- Guests should keep medications, valuables, and first-day essentials in carry-on luggage.
How airport luggage transfer works
Airport Luggage Transfer is operated with BagCheck. Eligible guests arrange the service before their trip and check their luggage at their departure airport as usual. Instead of collecting checked bags at Orlando International Airport, guests receive them at their Disney hotel.
The return process works in the other direction, sending luggage from the resort to the airport for a departing flight. It is a baggage-handling service, not airport transportation. Guests still need their own transportation between MCO and the resort.
That distinction is useful on arrival day. Guests can potentially start their trip without waiting at baggage claim, but they should not put park clothes, medication, tickets, or other immediate needs into a checked bag.
A new option for Caribbean Beach stays
Caribbean Beach has Skyliner access to EPCOT and Disney's Hollywood Studios, and the new eligibility can remove one arrival-day task for qualifying guests. It may be particularly useful for late arrivals, families managing multiple suitcases, or guests who want to move directly from an airport transfer into their resort plans.
The addition does not mean every moderate resort participates. The current report does not confirm availability at Coronado Springs, Port Orleans, Fort Wilderness, or any other nonparticipating property. Guests should confirm their resort, airline, and flight before assuming the service applies.
Airline and registration limits matter
Southwest, American, and United are the currently reported eligible airlines. Delta was reportedly listed briefly earlier in the summer and then removed, so it should not be treated as eligible without a fresh confirmation during enrollment.
The registration deadline is also firm enough to plan around: guests can enroll up to 30 days ahead, but enrollment closes 24 hours before the flight. This is a pre-trip task, not a service to arrange after landing in Orlando.
For guests whose flight and hotel qualify, Caribbean Beach now has a benefit that was previously concentrated at value resorts. The practical choice is to confirm eligibility early, pack an effective carry-on, and let the service handle only the bags that are safe to be without until hotel delivery.
